TALES OF THE SUPERNATURAL

4º ESO

Hello class! As you already know, we are going to start working on Tales of the Supernatural.

This is the schedule and the work you have to do on the book.

-  Thursday 27th October-   "The Signalman". We will do some activities in class.

-  Friday 4th November- "Ligeia". Discussion and class activities. We will start reading the story "The Upper Berth" in class.

- For Monday 14th November- SPEAKING CLASS. Be ready to speak about the topics on pages 48 and 58: Health and Travel.

PROJECT.    You will have to do the following activities and hand them to the teacher before the 24th of November. Please, do them wlhile you are reading the book in order to facilitate comprehension and do them properly.

1. Read the biographies of the authors on pages 6-8 and answer the questions on page 8.
2. Do the Internet project on page 48. Visit the web www.cideb.it and write the title of the book in the search engine. Then, clic on "the project links" and answer the questions.
3. WRITING: Choose one of the topics on pages 68 (exercise 5) or 93 (exercise 4) to write a composition of about 100-150 words.
4. REDING COMPREHENSION: exercises 6 and 7 on page 68.
